San Diegans for Managed Growth: Board member: Jacqueline plays a crucial role in the advancement of the Save Our San Diego Countryside 2018 ballot initiative which seeks to hold the line on the General Plan and ensure that GPA projects be subjected to a public vote rather than a three out of five votes by the supervisors.

San Dieguito Planning Group: Board Member: An elected position in the County of San Diego, for 9 years she has been intimately involved in reviewing land use applications from developers and other entities, including reviewing EIRs and obtaining community input during public hearings and then voting to recommend or deny the projects to the Board of Supervisors.

Friends of the Creek, President: founded this non-profit to preserve natural resources in the unincorporated areas. A major success included thwarting a large billion dollar investor’s attempt to build a luxury residential development in a biologically sensitive portion of North County. She brought together stakeholders including environmental groups, the County of San Diego and the developer themselves and created a win-win whereby the parcel was put into permanent open space conservation. FOTC was also active in the General Plan Update process, working with county staff and decision makers to advocate on behalf of smart growth, and mobilizing the public to engage.

Elfin Forest Harmony Grove Town Council Chairperson: Elected to the Town Council Board almost 13 years ago. Early on she led the development of the Elfin Forest and Harmony Grove Community Plans, a document that is encoded in the San Diego County General Plan as a vision for housing and growth in San Diego County. She worked very closely with the County to ensure the community’s interests were represented in the General Plan process, yet worked with the community, County staff and the developers to shepherd the approval of a large project in the middle of a rural community as its compromise to accept its fair share of housing growth. In the 13 years that she has served on the board she has had a tremendous impact on the communities she represents on everything from fire jurisdiction, land use and planning, sewer districts, public safety and community outreach.

San Dieguito Academy Foundation: Board Member, fundraising chair: Jacqueline led the effort to build the fundraising capacity of this public high school. She raised funding to hire a permanent Executive Director and led the board in raising $4.5 million in matching funds to build a theater to serve the school and the community.

Tech Industry Executive and Entrepreneur: Spent 20 years working in the technology industry at firms such as Hewlett-Packard and Analytique, a boutique startup she formed that provided strategic marketing data, research and analysis to blue chip clients such as Canon, Compaq, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and 3Com among others. She sold Analytique to strategic investors in 2000. In addition, she continues to consult on startups by providing early guidance and strategic direction to innovators in the industry.
